Technical Terminology Time
ANSI X12 - ANSI X12 refers to the standard EDI formats that are used primarily in the US. The standards are decided by a committee that is comprised of various members of the business community from several indrustries such as health care, finance, supply chain and government. This committee, known as ASC X.12 or the Acredited Standards Committee, first came together in 1979 to bring some order and structure to what we know as EDI.
